Introduction
|
A family safe look at the red light districts in and around Holland focusing especially on my unique interactive maps with links to hundreds of my own photographs. Started in 2008 with a single map of Amsterdam's main red light district windows, it now includes maps and/or photos of Haarlem, Utrecht, Antwerp, Alkmaar, Den Haag, Amsterdam Pijp and Amsterdam Singelgebied as well as covering subjects like the history of Amsterdam's red light district, hotels and much more. Why? Because very few records exist of these places due to their seedy reputation. In truth many are situated in beautiful or historic locations and are perfectly safe to walk around. Most sites either attack them or use them as an excuse to push dodgy material. This site does neither. Booking through one of my Booking.com hotel links helps to maintain this site. Revenue is tiny though and donations are also gratefully received through my email address- george.map@hotmail.co.uk . With so much happening in 2012 this might get it's own page. For now though-
Sexy Land adult shop is now closed for good. Workmen are currently renovating the place but it will NOT re-open as before.
